FAQs
How do I book an appointment?
Each artist schedules tattoo appointments themselves. We recommend looking through our portfolios, picking out whom you'd like to work with, and then contacting that artist directly or using the "Request an Appointment" form here on our site.
What should I do to prepare for my tattoo appointment?
We suggest a good night's sleep the night before your tattoo. Avoid drinking alcohol, taking blood thinners (such as ibuprofen), and drinking a lot of caffeine 24 hours before your tattoo.
Ensure you eat before your tattoo, and bring snacks/drinks if you get lightheaded or have a long session. You can also bring a blanket or pillow with you.
Make sure you wear appropriate clothing to get tattooed in your chosen placement. For example, if you get your tattoo on your back, bring a zip-up hoodie to wear backward.
Are Walk-Ins welcome?
We accommodate as many walk-ins as possible but are primarily appointment-only. Walk-ins are always first come, first served. The best way to find out if we are accepting walk-ins is to contact the shop or walk in.
Do you have to leave a deposit to get a tattoo?
A non-refundable deposit is required for every appointment. Please contact the artist directly to find out their deposit requirements.
If you don't attend your appointment, you will lose your deposit. You will be required to pay another deposit to get another appointment.
What do I do if I need to cancel an appointment?
Most artists require at least 24-48 hours notice of cancellation, but please contact your artist directly if you need to cancel your appointment.
If an appointment needs to be rescheduled, a one-time deposit transfer can be applied if your artist is given at least 24 hours notice.
Any last-minute cancellations or a no-call/no-show will result in a forfeit of your deposit.
How old do you have to be to get a tattoo?
You must be 18 years old and have a valid ID. Per North Carolina state law, tattooing anyone under the age of 18 is a Class 2 misdemeanor.
